Register as a Member of the NYS GIS Association for 2011!
The NYS GIS Association represents the interests of the entire geospatial community within New York and is the premier, statewide, professional organization for the GIS and related industries. While the Association supports the continued success of New York’s GIS groups and regional chapters, it is uniquely positioned to advocate within the state and nationally on issues of importance to the GIS industry, reach out to sister organizations in other professions in building strong collaborations, and provide a statewide forum for advancing our profession through shared experiences, learning, and training.
By joining the Association, your $10 membership fee will help to underwrite conferences, scholarships, training, certification and awards and are an indispensable component of helping to position the NYSGIS Association for an even stronger role statewide in advancing the legacy of our profession within New York State. The membership year begins on July 1st of each year. Membership for individuals joining between January 1st and July 1st of 2011 will run through June 30th of 2012.

In 2010, the Geographic Information Service Maintenance and Operations Group (GISMO) from the metropolitan New York City region and the NYS GIS Association signed a memorandum of understanding to work together to promote GIS in New York State. Over the last 20 years, GISMO has been one of the most successful regional organizations in the country. GISMO is taking this opportunity to refresh its listing of members and list serve participants by asking that individuals interested in supporting its activities in the New York City region contribute an additional $10. If you wish to join GISMO, please select the appropriate Membership Type below. (Please note that this portion of the fee will be used to assist in the development of activities within the New York City metropolitan region.)
