You’re in for a real treat this year as it will be held October 24th-October 26th in historic Saratoga Springs. There will be great workshops on Sunday as well as a reception at the Racing Museum. Monday will feature the formal opening of the conference with a keynote address by Kass Green, president of Kass Green & Associates and the “State of the State in GIS” by Bill Johnson, Assistant Deputy Director for the New York State Office of Cyber Security. Monday evening will be rounded out by a banquet and a talk by Jack Knowlton, owner of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Funny Cide. What's new at this year's NYS GIS Conference?
- "GIS Ablaze" - For the first time ever, Platinum and Gold Sponsors of this year's NYS GIS Conference will be given the opportunity to stand center stage and impart their wisdom in a power-packed presentation of GIS knowledge, and tidbits of “Who knew you could do that with geospatial information?” in our newly launched “GIS Ablaze” Ignite Sessions. These 5-minute sessions will be held during lunch on Monday and attendees will have the opportunity to vote on a favorite. The goal of this new program is to provide entertaining presentations that impart new knowledge to conference attendees.

2010 Annual Meeting
The Association’s Annual Meeting will be held at the NYS GIS Conference on October 25th at 4 pm. The meeting is open to all. This year’s meeting will feature election of officers to the Board of Directors, a vote on amendments to the Association By-Laws, the latest on the surveying legislation and an announcement of the Association Award winners. Please come and support the Association as it continues to move forward in its development.
